John Flynn Cardiology was established by Dr Ian Linton with the opening of the John Flynn Hospital in 1993. Our cardiologists include Dr Kevin Franklin and Dr Ahmad Nasir. The service is based at the Medical Centre on the John Flynn Hospital Campus. We also conduct a satellite clinic at Murwillumbah.
In addition to seeing patients for clinical consultation, our cardiologists, supported by a team of cardiac scientists and administrative staff, provide a range of tests to assist in assessing our patients’ cardiac health.
Services available at John Flynn Medical Center include Consulting, Echocardiography, Transoesophageal Echocardiography, Exercise Stress Testing, Holter Monitoring, Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring and Coronary Angiography. Services available at Murwillumbah include: Consulting, Echocardiography, Holter Monitoring and ECG. Inpatient services at John Flynn Private Hospital include: Transoesophageal Echocardiography, Angiography and Direct Current Cardioversion (DCCV).
